The Witham Coracle, a cleft wood working coracle from Lincolnshire and
The Fens. Inspired by the Teifi coracle and Wye truckle, the Witham coracle
has been designed by R J. Taylor to give a larger carrying capacity and
enhanced stability for varied working purposes. Ideal for setting eel
grigs and fyke nets and a useful aid for seine netting in sheltered creeks.
Excellent for angling and pond maintenance too.
This is the coracle that navigated the Afon Teifi from source to sea
in spate conditions in 1998 for a leading cancer charity.
Hand crafted in the traditional way it comes complete with solid one-piece
paddle, priest, delivery and tuition.
Contact Richard J. Taylor for further details.
Note: The wearing of a life jacket or buoyancy aid is recommended
in all small craft.
